Battlefield 3 is a video game created by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. There is no definitive release date as of now.

More will be added below as we get information.

Battlefield Bad Company is not Battlefield 3. It is a seperate game, coming for consoles (PS3 and Xbox 360). What they do have in common though is the game engine. Both are using the Frostbite Engine and it looks like it is gonna be a hell lot of fun. So here are a couple of things for you to look at what might be in store for Battlefield 3.

The first teaser trailer of Battlefield Bad Company (it also had a "in game footage" mark), was shown to a select group of individuals on the Battlefield community day in September 2006, held at the Redwood Shore location of EA. So by now, the engine is actually close to two years old, if you take into account that it would have taken a few months to get to the level that specific trailer was made. So the engine has matured by now and with the game almost ready for release, a less bug ridden and more tried engine will benefit the players of Battlefield 3 as well.
